Working temperature

The working temperature is one of the most important working environment parameters of the industrial liquid crystal module, which directly limits the available occasions of the liquid crystal module. Working for a long time and storing in the ambient temperature which exceeds the index given by the factory has a great sacrifice to the display effect, the life and reliability of the liquid crystal itself.

Limited by the properties of liquid crystal materials, the ambient temperature of TFT liquid crystal module basically has two levels: one is the operating temperature of -200c to 700C, the storage temperature of -300c to 800C; The other is the operating temperature of -300c to 800C, and the storage temperature is also -300c to 800C.

 

brightness

For most indoor environments, about 250 to 300cd/m2 is sufficient. However, this brightness level of the LCD module, in many industrial environments is not able to meet the requirements, this is because the ambient light will be stronger, its brightness can easily exceed the brightness of the LCD backlight. Also, the frequent use of touch screens in industrial environments can reduce the brightness of the display, making it appear darker. Viewing Angle

Industrial LCD modules should have a wide viewing angle, or be thought of as "easy to understand at a glance".Industrial LCD modules are unlikely to require the viewer to sit in front of the monitor for single use. For example, a physician or nurse can't stop to look directly at the monitor during the procedure; they just want to know the expected data. For large machines, it is almost impossible to operate directly in front of a monitor. For ship or aircraft navigation, it is also inconvenient for the pilot to sit directly in front of the LCD, especially when there are multiple monitors, which are facing the viewer from different angles.

 

Backlit life

At present, the backlight source of the small and medium-size LCD module of 12.1 inches and below is basically LED. Backlight life is the time it takes for the brightness to drop by half compared to the new light. Because the life of the backlight is very low compared with the life of LCD, the engineering field has been trying to improve the life of LED backlight. There are three levels of LED backlight: 50,000 hours, 20,000 hours and 10,000 hours, with the majority being 50,000 hours and 20,000 hours.

 

Product life

The product life here is the time that the factory can continue to supply. For most industrial applications, it can take years to plan, develop, perfect, and market a new product before it reaches mass production. If an industrial product requires five years of continuous production, at least five years of supply of accessories are required. Therefore, for a liquid crystal module applied to industrial equipment, there must be a continuous supply time of five years or more.

 

color

Color is an important parameter of color depth, the TFT LCD module generally has 18 and 24-bit color depth. Unlike desktop displays, industrial LCD modules do not require much detail to represent the picture. For example, when a desktop monitor displays a landscape painting, the display needs to have enough color depth to show the details of the picture.

Therefore, the color depth is not important for industrial applications of liquid crystal modules, in many cases, 8 or 256 colors will suffice.

 

The response time

Thanks to the improvement of TFT display technology, the response time of the TFT liquid crystal module can basically achieve about 10 milliseconds. This level of response time is sufficient for the display of video and enables users to feel the movement of dynamic content in the environment. Therefore, the response time of the TFT liquid crystal module is more than sufficient for most industrial applications of the approximate static display.
